FAQs

How long have you been doing photography?

I bought my first camera in 2020 during COVID and played around with it for a while, but got seriously into photography around 2023. I have been learning so much in the past few years about photography and the industry, and I am so excited for what is to come!

Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm based in Saginaw, MI and love the tri-cities, but I am also willing to travel just about anywhere! Please note, travel fees will be added for anything outside 50 miles from my home base.

When will we get our photos?

I aim for a turnaround of 2-3 weeks for 30 minute or 1 hour sessions, and 6-8 weeks for wedding galleries. Of course, if I predict any delays prior to our session, you will be notified!

Help! What do we wear to our session!?

I usually encourage the use of neutrals when picking outfits, especially with a session of more than 1 person. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE color! But neutrals help the focus to be on YOU, as well as the surrounding scenery, for a timeless touch.

Can we bring "props" or other special items to our session?

Absolutely!! Although it's not necessary, I love incorporating little details that show your personality and reason for capturing these memories.

What's the typical process of booking with you?

It's super simple! Just shoot me a message, either through my contact form or directly to my email, and specify everything you're looking for in your session. I'll get back to you as quickly as I can with pricing estimates and my availability. We'll settle on a date & time, pick a location, and boom you're done! You'll receive a contract to sign as well as a 25% retainer invoice to hold your date. And of course, I will help you at every step of the process if needed!

What's the best way to print our photos?

I highly recommend using Mpix to print your photos! They are very affordable and offer high quality prints (this is not an ad, I just love their print quality!). Download your photos from the gallery and save to a safe spot on a hard drive, then upload to Mpix directly from the hard drive. Recommended to do from a laptop or desktop instead of from a cell phone to ensure the highest quality is uploaded.

Unless in a pinch, I do not recommend using Walmart, Meijer, Walgreens, or other quick-print options due to their lower-quality printing features.
